What are Little boys made of...

SNIPS AND SNAILS, AND PUPPY DOGS TAILS....
Our Neighbor's boys, whom are 12 and 11, ride their skateboards in their driveway and do jumps off the ramp and all the stunts involved with skateboarding. I watch them and I think, Oh My that really makes me nervous, I hope they don't get hurt and I'm glad Bryan isn't old enough to want a skateboard. Well, I was wrong! He has become obsessed with emulating what the boys do. He wants to play basketball, baseball, go fishing and now ride a skateboard. All to be able to hang with his new best buds. So, I gave in when I found this mini version of a skateboard and made him promise to wear all the protective gear. So then he saw that they were making a video of their stunts {they post things on UTube} Of course, this morning he says, Lets make a movie . It won't be going on UTube any time soon, this will be our version of that.

The dramatic crash was just too good not to share. I won't be allowing him to watch Johnny Knoxville or the rest of the jackass gang in the near future. I can see what I have to look forward to. To think I got worried when he got a "boo boo" in soccer practice.!!!

The workshop is now up and running. I can't wait to make soap next week and start formulating my new products. I would like to thank my wonderful husband for his craftmanship and talent on the workshop. Also a shout out to my stepdad Chris for his electrician work and other help as well. As you can see Hydriads is truly a "family business" and I thank all of my family and friends that have dedicated their time and support to helping us grow.

We would like to announce our newest member of our Family. Here name is Holly, She is a 1 yr old German Shepherd. We adopted her from a great organization by the name of Shepherdhaven. org out of Columbus Ohio. This is her 1st full day with us so she is still adjusting. We have some training to do, but she and my son are best buds already. Her foster parents did a great job with her and we will continue the mission. Thanks to all that helped with the process of Holly coming to her new home. She will be spoiled soon.

An Awear Affair

This past Saturday, Feb 28TH, I was blessed to be able to attend a wonderful fund raising event hosted by The Noble Circle, an organization that provides support and holistic forms of healing for women that have been diagnosed with Cancer. It was a sold out crowd of 700 at Sinclair Community College's Ponitz Center in Dayton Ohio. We had our booth set up in the boutique area . I shared a booth with my sister Genell's fabulous 100% soy candles that she makes. Check out her info at http://www.willowandvine.biz/. It was a great afternoon of socializing, a delicious lunch and a fashion show by the noble circle members, including my sis Genell. Check out the link in the Dayton daily news http://www.daytondailynews.com/l/content/oh/story/living/2009/03/01/ddn030109noblecircleweb.html
